My name is Cyril Mottier and I am a Mobile Software Engineer. I graduated with a Master in Computer Science and Engineering from the Computer Science and Engineering department of INSA (National Institute of Applied Sciences - a leading French Engineering school based in Rennes, France) in September 2009. After spending 4 years in France learning advanced Computer Science techniques, I moved to Helsinki for my fifth year. I finished my studies in the Helsinki University of Technology where I improved my English and technical skills. It also allowed me to meet people with various origins and cultures.
In a professional point of view, I am self-educated in web development. I have developed websites for friends, companies, associations or even for me but I am not really interested in basic web development. Although I'm still looking at the latest web development, I am specializing in mobile technologies and especially smartphones and mobile operating systems (Android, iPhoneOS, etc.). I simply believe these portable technologies will have huge possibilities in the future and bring a new way of thinking in development (restricted computing capabilities, mobility, etc.). I also consider those devices as the convergence point of all information systems.
